Just so you know what happened, your trainee entered "20.00" on the number pad and then clicked the Quick Cash button for $20. The system understands that as someone handing you 2,000 twenty-dollar bills, for a total of $40,000.

Happens to the best of us. Esp. on laggy system days.
For anyone curious, what you input doesn’t matter. It’s basically just a calculator, so it won’t affect your till as long as the actual change is right. Likewise, even though you’re “responsible” for +/-$5, they **cannot** take any money from your tips or check. It’s against FLSA regulations. If they do, report them.

Was training someone in drive through today, they were DTR and I was DTO. I left to go through in food for an order and came back to this. Lol, I guess the computer didn't know how to process the sheer amount of money cause it also froze the computer for a couple seconds.

Needless to say I was extremely surprised when I got back from throwing in food but at least we got a good laugh out of it.
