i feel like i post here too much but it goes to show just how god awful my store's gotten. store manager is on a MASSIVE power trip, district manager takes her side, and if i get written up one more time for life happening im gonna quit.

she's written up almost every person on night crew who isn't a high schooler/less than two months into the job because she knows we all want to transfer. she demands we call the store AND her personally to call out so she can tell us we have to find coverage no matter what, including when someone called out FOR BEING IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM (they also got written up for not finding coverage). but the kicker- no one wants to work at this store. i called every store in the area to find coverage and as soon as i mention which store i'm at it goes from "oh maybe" to "yeah no one's available" because this store is such a nightmare. it's especially worse finding night coverage because nights are so horribly understaffed for how busy it is, and it's a well known fact that it's just awful.

she handed out THREE write ups to someone in one day, the most recent incident was the end of september, and the other two were in august. this was the same day he started filling out transfer papers. she wrote up someone who had scheduled a shift lead interview and had no remorse in telling her she'd have to cancel the interview now. im sitting here freaking out that im gonna get written up for calling out to go to a funeral.

the store is disgusting because we never have enough coverage to be able to actually do clean play, we barely get closed most nights. people work while sick because she will either tell us we have to find coverage or just doesnt get people to cover night shifts, but morning shifts will always get covered (lmao). she facilitates a split between morning and nights and lets morning people get away with harassing us for.... anything. because they couldnt leave early, because we didn't set the store as 100% ready for when they come in (but they leave use with no backups, no milks, floors covered in spills etc.). can't take trash out after dark, but we've gotten shit from mornings for leaving trash in the bins in the back. stg she encourages it because we've brought it up to her and she does nothing

it really feels like she wants us to make our number one priority this shitty job, and we should put everything aside for this job and do anything for the store and its fucking exhausting. my mental health has plummeted since starting this job, and this past week was the shit cherry on the shit cake and i don't think i can stay here anymore.
