Emergency Bypass for Water? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Are we allowed to serve customers while on the emergency bypass for the filters? My store has had little to no water pressure for weeks, and my manager finally just flipped the waters emergency bypass from the filter so that we can have water pressure. Now all our water tastes like tap water and smells awful. Is this even allowed?

I mean most other fast food places serve tap water so 🤷🏽♂️. We’ve been using tap water while a replacement part for our filter is delivered to the repair people and then they’ll come and fix it.

In all honesty my store has been on emergency bypass for months now because of the same no water pressure issue, and even after the repair person has come in the issue was never resolved. We just. Leave it like that. Because they said well, we tried, and left us without a real solution.
