i’m quitting just before the holidays (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by SeleneEmpressAlicia
between my SM failing to schedule me for enough hours to qualify for benefits (she’d regularly schedule me 17- 19.50 hours) and my trying to fit more shifts in while going to school to meet benefit eligibility requirements and corporate scrapping the COVID benefit, I’m done. I think quitting just before the holidays get into motion is the best way to communicate that.

well holidays is definitely when people get the most hours and money because time and a half, plus tips, plus just being genuinely busy, so I think truly if you quit before the holidays you’ll be missing out on money

they over staff for holidays anyway so I don’t think you quitting is going to throw much of a wrench in their plans

just tell them you want more hours and then prove you’re a hard worker so that they’ll want to give you more hours

Just wait until the schedule is planned.
