Lolol I have not been. Just come up with a plausible number based on your weekly average for the IRS when you do your taxes.

I do tips for my store and I never declare them lol. Sometimes I even forget to grab my own tips. Just like today…writing this out made me realize I didn’t grab my tips when I finished them today lol

I literally looked down at the floor in the break room and there was a QR code that said “scan this and declare your tips weekly” and I was like “oops”

What does this mean?! 😭 I just got my first tips a few days ago! Someone explain!!!

it’s basically for your taxes, tips are taxable to so when you’re filing your taxes you have to declare your tips yourself now at Starbucks (this is a new thing that started this year) I believe when you do it through Starbucks it’ll just make doing your taxes easier so the amounts will already be inputted rather than doing it yourself when you file your taxes

i get $2 a week in tips so it’s a no for me

I think the IRS rule is that anything less than 20/month per job does not need to reported.

I'm reeeeaally new at Bux and I have no idea how tips work, am I supposed to do something to get them or are they just added to my pay??

no when customers tip you (via cash or mobile) those go into a separate fund directly for baristas and shifts, the amount you get depends on how much your store gets tips as well as how many hours you work

you get them every week (at my store every Tuesday) and it’s cash tips your store should have them in the safe and every employee gets tips minus the SM and ASM

on average i get about $10-15 every week and last year for the holidays I was getting $25-35 every week
