Will I get my tips for the last week I worked? Will my SM reach out to tell me to come pick it up or do I have to just show up and ask for them.

you have to just show up and ask for them, I’d give it about 1 full tip week after you quit so that way you’re sure you got them all
our safe is full of former partners tips after 3 months they get cycled back into normal tip rotation

hey i’m pretty sure that’s actually quite illegal. that tip money is theirs, you [your managers] can’t just give it away because they haven’t picked it up yet

I’m unsure my ASM said after 3 months it goes back into circulation (aka goes back to the employees who are currently working) especially when you have money from partners that have moved away (literally one partner moved to Florida) I’m not sure what else we’d do with it; but I’d also say 3 months is plenty of time to come get tips (might also have been 6 months)

i guess my guess is as good as yours here, but i’m almost 100% positive that’s illegal. i get that it’s annoying to just keep that money but it was money they earned. it’s like taking it out of their paycheck, essentially. i don’t know all the technical terms. your store should just reach out to those people if possible. i know in our safe we still have tips for partners from 2 years ago. it’s illegal!
