so with the whole way of measuring cream in inches or fractions of an inch, do we pour it in first or last or before ice or after or what? because 1/2 inch at the bottom of the cup will be a different volume than 1/2 inch at the top of the cup. whoever’s idea it was to measure liquid with a unit meant to measure distance is my enemy

For hot drinks your cream always goes last before your lid, and for iced drinks it goes between the 2nd and 3rd line so always before ice.

i usually eyeball it

Get out your ruler and take your sweet time trying to get it exact so no Karen accuses you of trying to give her 1/7" of cream.

What i don’t understand is why we don’t have a “shot glass” that has the different measurements lines on it? They do it with the shakers so I don’t see how it would be that hard to implement, especially if they are trying to get “splashes” to a standardized amount.

I’ve gotten pretty good at eyeballing it but my only thing is that the cream or milk should go before the ice in iced drinks, that way everything is mixed together and I don’t get a weird look from the customer
