Is it okay to start hating coffee after a month of work? Is this a sign that it's time to quit your job? (self.starbucksbaristas)

hi i'm a partner of two years now! for me, i feel like all starbucks drinks start tasting the same after working there for awhile (same thing does happen with food as well). i'm 100% certain that if you quit, you'll enjoy the coffee more since you're probably not drinking it as much or you're not surrounded by it all the time. part of what makes things so tasteful is that the smells hep us enjoy our food more. however, now you're working there, you get sensitized to the coffee smell , whipped cream smell , etc. i found that i really enjoyed coffee when going to other places because it was just something different than what i was drinking constantly at work. for me, honestly it doesn't get much better in terms of taste as starbucks drinks have a very distinct flavor that's prevalent in all their drinks (they have a standard after all) but that's not a reason to quit unless it's really affecting you. if you like your job (and if you need the income), i'd recommend staying. maybe take a break from drinking coffee and go other places or just simply take a tolerance break. if it's significantly affecting you mentally and/or physically, maybe consider a different job. just because you enjoy starbucks and coffee, it does not mean you have to work for them!

That was the reason I decided to quit working there. Their coffee becomes tasteless after a month or two of working.

It's unfortunate that Starbuck is the reason for you to hate such a wonderful drink. Get out of there!

That's what I thought during the reading :D

If you value coffee drinking so much, then maybe. If you're satisfied with the salary and the quality of work there, then you shouldn't.

Starbucks makes not the best coffee in the world. You realize that after drinking some from the small coffee shops.
