Supervisors - I was just hoping to get some insight on what to expect during this interview... Any questions that you remember sticking out to you? What was the interview like for you?

Thanks for any info

I always look for people who are actually passionate about the work they're doing. Follow the STAR model for answers (Situation Task Action Result). I am less impressed by people telling me what they would do and moreso by what they have done.

Be genuine and honest, don't be afraid to tell stories about times you messed something up, as long as you can tell how you grew and learned through it. A lot of my best development came from utter failures.

Ask your interviewer questions at the end. Make them meaningful but not egocentric. "What advice would you give yourself knowing what you know now when you first got into your role?" "Why did you choose Starbucks as a career?" "What mistake did you make along the way that you learned the most from?"

Remember: anyone can learn the skills, but not everyone can learn to lead with kindness and positive energy. I will choose a partner who is still learning routines and skills but who is passionate and kind over a partner who has all routines down but is bitter and jaded every single time.

my district manager asked me questions on why i wanted to be a shift and why i liked working for starbucks, and i was completely honest. i love our mission and values. i think knowing what the ACT model was really impressed her.
you will be asked about bad customer experiences, how you handled them, and how you would handle them now. they’ll ask you about coaching and what you can do to improve. you got this!!! good luck

Thanks for the tips! Mind explaining the ACT model or where I can find info on that?
