My girlfriend got a job at Starbucks solely for the trans health coverage. She was given Kaiser which tends to cover a lot of private and specialty doctors for transitioning. When you apply for insurance through Starbucks, they ask you about your medical needs, and when you tell them you need trans help, I believe they even send you to a whole separate department because they take it so seriously. Ultimately they pair you with the insurance you need and they walk you through the whole thing. Feel free to ask questions.

Unfortunately though, the enrollment period happened back in August and won't happen again until August of 2022. They do emergency enrollments though.

Hope this helps!

Oh shit, I wasn't made aware there was an enrollment period, I hope the emergency enrollment works out for me. So If I got in touch with a rep, would they be able to look at my current insurance and see what would be best for me? (like I give them the Group Number and Member ID and such?) I don't want to switch over until I absolutely have to \*\*unless\*\* it's better for me to switch now

Nono you dont give them any of your current insurance info I dont think- you'll just tell them what you've done so far in your medical history and tell them what you still need, and they'll give you plan options (bronze, silver, gold, platinum) depending on your needs and how much you're willing to pay. You can always just call to ask questions, and they'll happily answer them for you.

Don’t worry, if you have a qualifying event, such as aging out of your parents health coverage, you will get a special enrollment period. Your current insurance and any prospective insurances should offer benefit guides, look online or call them
