I start off the day on bar. FANTASTIC. As a mature green bean i am put on bar frequently because we are a training heavy store, so i love it. After making carmel brûlée fraps for 1 hour i get put on window. Normally i am fantastic with speaking with customers, always getting tips and laughs. My store crowds around me when i’m at window because they love to laugh. But today i was slurring my speech and was not thinking good so i was reallyyyyy out of it. After a couple cars, i go to ring a lady up. “Hiiiiii, it’s going to be 8.32 today”
“Ok you’re going to read that price back and say the drink order and the broken down prices”
“Um, sure i can do that” i mumble
This lady is always upfront and condensing but loves me. I was so confused why she was so mean.
“Alright so you got a venti white mocha with 4 shots, carmel syrup, and another modifier, making it 8.32”
“That makes no sense it’s always 7.82, did you change your prices.”
“I have no clue i will ask.” I go on and ask my manager and they say they don’t know. WHY ARE THE PRICES CHANGING?!!?!! And WHY ARENT WE BEING TOLD AT ALLL. How am i supposed to perform my job when i cant explain myself to customers. I told her we raised our prices and they start to complain.
“Would you still like your drink”
“Yes i was just confused it makes no sense”
I had multiple customers just complain ALL DAY.
This other woman ordered decaf carmel crunches for her kids and complained why it’s taking forever. Idk maybe bc it’s DECAF SHOTS NOT CRÈME. After 4 fraps she then goes on to tell me about the syrups and how the drinks are made, idk why but she felt the need to.
And my store always remakes drinks, so i constantly look terrible at my job when customers order wrong sizes or iced/hot. WHY DO I HAVE TO REMAKE IT WHEN ITS YOU FAULT.
