yep, you should tell exactly this to your SM. Whenever they swoop in and "save" us it's always with extra hands. Why don't they try to do it the way we're left to manage, show us how it's done? Nooooo, they set themselves up for success and us up for failure.

That’s real. I can totally relate. I’m so sorry

Urghhhhh.... that's the worst! I'm so sorry. It would be much better in that situation if they just supported you instead. Sigh. That's what a good manager does.
Also, I feel your on mobiles! I often get put on mobile cuz I'm not as experienced as some other baristas, but I think mobiles are harder in a way because they are so customized. I bet I could go faster if I was on drive making more "normal"drinks. But it's ok. I'm still part of the team, and I'm learning. And finally today they didn't take me off mobiles when it got busy. I told them I don't mind the pressure, and i think they actually listened. Anyways, i guess my point is there's hope. Try not to take it too personally if they take you off bar. I know it's hard, I've been there before. They still take me off when it gets super slammed and there's just more experienced people to take my spot. It's ok. It doesn't mean you're bad at your job. And yeah, your are right, better managers will support you more than just take over!

Ten minutes behind isn’t THAT bad…I mean, it’s not good, but if they aren’t setting you up for success they shouldn’t be too grumpy about it…If it makes you feel better, when we were averaging 90+ orders every 30 mins on cafe/mobile, I think I was around 20 minutes behind and we had rows of mobile receipts. So, it happens to everyone when you get slammed like that, esp with no one on cold bar.
