I left a corporate store for a licensed store with double the pay about a year ago, and the change was magnificent and refreshing- I loved my new Starbucks! But after a year I grew tired of the customers bullshit again. So I tried to get a job to match my skill set. I landed a full time job as a cake decorator at a grocery store! I was so excited!! When I got there and started working- it was an absolute disaster. Their bakery was so backed up and understaffed, I couldn’t see it getting better with just me so I quit and came crawling back to my Tarbucks, since it’s one of the only places to pay as high as it does in my area. Been working for about 3 months, and every customer is excruciating to me. I can’t take it anymore.
So I got a job using mt skill set again, and I have accepted another position, full time may I add- as a cake decorator, at a different grocery store! AND I get a $3 raise!
I’m hoping this time it works out.
As small town Pennsylvania employee- I can deal with some shit for my mew rate of $18.20 an hour. Pretty much a full salary where I’m from.
