I've done this too. I think it's either happens when you click an extra zero on the manual change input. But I think it's morel likely a glitch that happens when you start putting in the manual amount of change you've been handed, then just press one of the preset 5$ 10$ or 20$ options. At least that's what happened to me.

If you manually type in 20.00, then hit the 20$ button, the system believes you have been handed two thousand 20 dollar bills
