Apparently I was rude…to a customer for slamming the window😂 (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Ravliaa
So…I had this customer come to the drive through window and immediately started off with a good morning, she paid and I did my best to show my smile behind my mask you know. I hand her the drinks and she asks for the receipt. My machine is down so I say “Receipt okay, I’ll get that for you” So I walk away to go to the front and the window closes because I moved away…mind you it’s automatic anyway I come back to the window and hand her a receipt with a “Thank you!” After she asks for my name and I say cheerfully “My name” Not even a few moments later she calls my store and says I was rude and that I slammed the window on her and I didn’t ask how her day was going. I forget that I have to connect with customers when I’m at the window so that part was my fault but I’m never rude lol.

> that part was my fault

Absolutely not. The “customer connections at the window,“ especially the customer connection *score* combined with a demand in lower drive thru times, is absolute bullshit.

She sounds like a piece of work, sorry you had to deal with that. Everything you did is perfectly fine.

Oh no! You didn't ask her how her day was going! How is she going to get through her day now?
