So I'm front ringing, it's launch day and we have no merch and aren't doing red cups. I have a gal walk in to peruse the merchandise we do have (fall stuff) and as if we didn't get any holiday merchandise. So I tell her no that unfortunately not all stores got cups and we happen to be among them and to call around. She grabs a pound of Holiday Blend off the wall and walks to the register.
"So, can I do a tall Eggnog latte?"
"I'm so sorry, we don't have eggnog this year. I'm not sure of it's due to shortages but we do have more holiday drinks"
"Oh, I'm, okay. Give me a second this is really throwing me off." *procedes to ponder* "well I guess I'll just get my markout then"
Girl, you're a partner?! And you don't know any of this shit?

We have a partner from another store who consistently comes in and asks for things we don’t have. Asks for Trenta Frapps, hazelnut syrup, iced decaf coffee, etc. Annoys the hell out of me.

Yeah tbh gonna have to give the benefit of the doubt bc I would know absolutely jackshit if I weren't on Reddit and in this subreddit. If I treated this job like my other jobs and just came in for work and that's that, I legit would be absolutely out of loop and know next to nothing about what's happening with Starbucks. No one really informs us about stuff formally and no one really told me about the updates and resources in depth.

For some things yeah, but not knowing what kinds of milk options are available is a stretch. It’s pretty hard to NOT know what milks are kept in stock unless you’re actually on leave or something.
