Does Starbucks require a minimum number of hours worked per week/month to be eligible for health care benefits?(self.starbucksbaristas)

Or is any employee eligible regardless of number of hours worked per week/month?

I thought they lowered the minimum to 17 hours per week?

I also talked to an ASU REP yesterday and she told me 20 is the minimum for Starbucks to pay for your education.

They could have outdated info since they don't work for Starbucks directly like we do. Plus I remember my old store manager telling me it's 17 now instead of 25 or something like that.

If they did, it was probably just for part of last year when they wanted us to think they care about us.

You have to work a certain number of hours in I believe the previous 3 months (it took me 5 months of working to get benefits because they didn't count the first month and then the audit takes a month). I don't remember exactly what that number is but it comes out to about 20 hours per week. So you don't have to work 20 hours every week it just has to average out to that over those three months. Then they repeat that audit every three months.

Thank you.

I think the current number is something more like 16 (i did the math) after reading an update regarding eligibility and the necessary hours. Its on the partner hub but definitely aim for at least an average of 20!
Edited to add: forgot to add that this is relevant because they lowered the number of hours necessary for eligibility during the audit cycle due to the pandemic. Havent read/heard anything about it the hours back up

I think they changed it to 15 still. It was in a weekly update! Find it on the partner hub
