I'm Stressed but still I still need Starbucks (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Beingme4me
I've been a shift since July and and a barista for a year-and-a-half now. I really liked all the people I worked with I'm working at a new store that just opened in June. My first manager at this new store had to leave because she was pregnant my second manager had to leave for family reasons. The new manager is known to be a bit stricter and doesn't know me as well, and I know he won't be able to connect with me as well. In general we're extremely understaffed (and half of them have been a partner for less that 6mo.) and we're extremely busy and only getting busier, I'm becoming really anxious and irritated at while at work, but they just gave a us really good raise in my district and I use the SCAP program for college. I personally love the benefits that starbucks gives, but I'm struggling with the idea that the situation at my store and with my anxiety isn't going to get better. Idk.

I'm still 2 years out from graduation, and I got my position partially because I have open full time availability. There's just not any good options for me.
