why is every shift’s idea of “helping” on bar pulling a bunch of stickers but not making any drinks? now everything is out of order and i am overwhelmed. or is this just my store lmao

My shifts are really supportive and double bar when you call for it. I'm sorry your shifts aren't supportive. That really sucks

I hate when someone walks over and starts finishing my drinks instead of letting me sequence properly. Like, you do know you’re supposed to clean the steam wand and start your next drink before you finish the first one, right? Then don’t act like I need help and don’t know what I’m doing!

At first it was just green beans who would do it, but now even shift leads do it if I cover at another store?? Idk it just always throws me off my rhythm

We will hand off only hot or cold bar so we don't get in each other's way. One thing we really work on (in the evenings) is clear, kind communication. I think it's a rarity. I wish it wasn't. I hope things go well for you!

uhh I hate that! I worked in a couple of others stores && what they do is, pull the stickers && put them on cups (in oeder), so it's easier to read..?? but I personally don't like that for my store bc we dont have a lot of counter space. so I like to tell partners if you pull it, you make it 😂

A few of my shifts do this and it really irks me. Especially since my sm is really big about putting stickers directly on cups. Sometimes one of my shifts will pull all the stickers when I am doing fine, stick them to the bar, and then walk away.

I pull mine and put them where the beans on the mastrena go bc it helps me queue and see what I need to grab or do in sequencing. If I don’t I get behind easier. Also I go in order of how they were ordered.

i feel like partners need to be better at reading baristas bar styles before trying to help them. when i bar i may have like 5 drinks going but i know EXACTLY what im doing with them all and what i will do next. if someone tries to take my stickers or my cups it will completely throw me off. i love when my team knows what i need to help me rather than trying to just grab single drinks at a time when i already have them started

We’re not even allowed to pull more than 3 tickets at a time and that is if you have already started the first two drinks. Definitely tell you shift that it is throwing off your sequencing and to not do that

I mean if they’re looking for cold bar drinks/warming to take care of that makes sense. All depends on the coverage and ticket routing I guess. Otherwise stay out of my lane!

Your shifts are useless

This has happened to me before a few times. It especially sucks when I get moved from something to the bar they were working on and it's like five cups with some syrups and shots and idk what's what or what kind of milk is on the steam wand 🙄. It sucks cus usually pur ruke is we have to finish the sticker we pulled before doing something else but that does apply to the shift hehe

my SM did this all the time and i hated it

There are probably three people in my entire store (30 partners) who I will let touch anything on my bar. I am not embarrassed to admit I am a bitch when I bar but it's because I will be 10x bitchier if someone messes up shit on my bar
