hey there! my biggest take away is how different everyone is, for some people, it’s their first job and have no idea how to do anything (including counting money). others will have some experience and will catch on fast. some people will be shy and you have to work to get them out of their shell. for me, it came pretty naturally with training, it really made me happy to watch green beans catch onto things then be able to work without me. sometimes i feel worried when i set them free and others i just know they’re going to be great. you just have to learn to be patient and let the trainee practice things while you supervisor. quiz them and have them do things and be there for questions. idk, i love it. i’ve been a partner for 5 years so i do feel pretty confident on everything, but if there’s things you have questions on, ask around! let your trainee know it’s okay to ask questions because someone in the store will most likely know the answer. i wish you luck!

The entire program is on the iPads under Train a Barista. I recommend going over it before training anyone the first time. It explains everything.
