I’ve been here for a month and I keep screwing things up on cash, I’ve barely had any bar time so when I do make drinks I either can’t remember how many shots of espresso a drink has or how many pumps of syrup a drink gets. I feel like I needed way more training time than I got and I just feel incompetent. I really like this job, want to keep it and I don’t want to get fired :( any tips are greatly appreciated please!!!

Ask for some more time on bar to practice! One way that helped me is to use one of each size cup, put it on top of the bar like where the espresso bean containers are. And write down on each cup how many shots and how many pumps, and refer to it as you go! But remember the differences for americanos and macchiatos!
