honestly it might be Starbucks standard but my manager never lets any of us drink water while we’re working on the floor???? like I understand if she wouldn’t want us to be drinking anything messy but today I got yelled at for drinking an ice water while hauling my ass on oven 😭😭does anyone else have this rule??

All drinks are in the back room. Absolutely nothing is to be consumed on the floor and near food/beverage prep areas. This is a food service and safety standard, and is literally everywhere.
Now there’s a problem if she doesn’t let you step off the floor and go get a drink, that’s where you can complain and ask for help higher up if you’re not allowed to have water/drinks in the back room or off the floor

This is the way. Never has been allowed to be on the floor, and for food safety, it never will be allowed. It’s not a messy thing, it’s a safety thing. You’re also supposed to wash your hands after eating or drinking anything.

Um.. I think you need to contact a DM about this. You can't be denied water. I don't think you can necessarily keep it on the floor, but a supervisor should absolutely not be allowed to stop you from drinking water when you need it.
