What motivates you to stay at Starbucks? (self.starbucksbaristas)

i’m fairly new and so I need to ask for help because I don’t know how things work. Somehow the way the employees talk to me seems kind of rude and snobbish. I’m trying to understand them but now i’m shy to ask questions and make mistakes. sometimes I even get anxious going to work because of the fact that I will have to be with them. I don’t wanna feel like that every day. Should I just quit?

I’m a little over 2 months new & felt the same when I started working at Starbucks. I actually have one coworker in particular that is absolutely obnoxious and rude to everyone that’s new, she made a new hire quit. Keep asking questions, it’s better to do that than to mess something up. Im more comfortable working now, I got the jist of all the roles in the store, the tasks, etc. If you still feel anxious & peers are still rude to you by the time you hit 3 months, it might be a sign for you to just quit.

I felt the same when I first started working at Starbucks. It does get better. Don’t be afraid to ask questions though because that’s the only way you can improve. If you still feel the same after about 5 months then quit, but it takes a while to feel comfortable with all the info. If you’re too afraid to ask your partners questions you can dm me some and I’ll answer them for you. Good luck!
