Is it true you can’t brew the Holiday Blend as an expresso? (self.starbucksbaristas)

LMAO WHAT. We have espresso machines that are stocked with our espresso beans. No, we can't put any random beans in there, that isn't how it works... I don't think you've ever used an espresso machine. You can do it at home with your own machine.

Okay so. If you're talking about grinding them into espresso they can.

But if you just came on the barista forum to explain how you gave a barista a hard time for not wanting to empty out the entire hopper of beans, and hand-scoop out the espresso, and then put in your beans and then brew 1 drink, and then empty out the hopper, and then replace it with normal beans...

Fam, what 😂

We pour espresso beans into our mastrena which is the machine we use to make espresso shots. For us to make you a holiday blend espresso shot we would have to empty and vacuum out the espresso beans , fill it with the weaker holiday beans. We would then have to repeat the process to put the standard espresso beans back into the machine. So technically yes it’s possible but then it really wouldn’t be an espresso shot because it’s not an espresso roast and it would be crazy time consuming.
