Anyone else closing for Thanksgiving? (self.starbucksbaristas)

We signed up for it and were down to work, then our DM told our SM we could close if we wanted to. Some of us still wanted to work but then we got word that no Starbucks in the state and possibly surrounding states would be open so we decided to close to avoid drowning and dying. Anyone else closing?

I asked specifically to work to avoid family stuff but if I was in your position and didn’t have literally five stores in walking distance, I would close for sure. I love time and a half but not enough to die. 😂

My store is in WA and it is open. On Christmas, our store stays open and the one 1.5mi away closes. Partners from the closed store will come and work at ours on Christmas if they want to.

Yeah that’s how I have experienced holiday for the last 8 years. This is the first year I’ve seen any bux close for thanksgiving so I was just curious if other partners were experiencing that

I’m on the ME/NH border and was told all the stores in NH would be closed and possibly MA. Not sure about ME yet

I am the key holder for thanksgiving day with 12 people, including myself. It’s going to be a nightmare. I will be opening and closing, we are only open for 7 hours

Not only we are open on Thanksgiving day, we’ll be open the day after as well. Which is really stupid considering that most of our business comes from the office buildings around us.

My store in WA is closing for Thanksgiving until the sunday after. But thats bc so many baristas put in time off
