Yes, at starbucks the color is from the berries. It’s not a steeped hibiscus tea, but a juice made with green coffee bean extract, white grape juice, some apple juice, and a little hibiscus as well. Lol.

Our passion tango tea is an actual hibiscus tea, with the color you’re looking for.

yup, it’s more of a juice than a tea. we don’t make it, it’s prepackaged. it’s a berry hibiscus refresher, the color comes from freeze dried blackberries that we add but those don’t effect the flavor

Thxs for the reply, ill definitely stick to making my .10$ hibiscus tea at home :)

That’s because it’s a refresher and not a tea. Many people think it’s a berry hibiscus tea but nope. So yes it gets the color from the blackberries

The passion iced tea is hibiscus based, I think maybe there’s a translation issue. There’s also the refresher drink (juice, green coffee extract) that is the very berry hibiscus refresher. Two very different drinks.

The Berry Hibiscus refresher is not a tea. We have a different drink called Passion Iced tea, either you or your barista is very confused.

It isn’t hibiscus tea, it’s a hibiscus juice. It won’t have the color the tea has and it’s fully clear in the box. It’s a juice made from the coffee bean plant with artificial flavors to get that hibiscus flavor but it is not made from the hibiscus flower. In the lemonade without the berries, you’d primarily only taste the lemonade. So they aren’t lying to you but you’re not crazy.

Soooo our very berry hibiscus (before the berries) the color will look a little yellow (at least at my store).. we do not brew it. The berries do in fact give it color when we shake the beverage. This is just how they give it to us and that’s how we serve it.
