Alright, so I'm having my top surgery very soon (yay!) But that means I obviously won't be at work for about two months! So I've made calls to corporate to set up my leave of absence and they intially were going to give me disability pay for the leave.
I work over 20hrs a week and have been with Starbucks since April 2021, so i was expecting it to go through alright... Except for one small hiccup.
In August I had quit because of bad management (which changed shortly after and I returned), but the rep told me that because of that, everything reset and I didn't qualify for disability pay anymore.
Any advice for whether or not it's still possible to make an argument for it or should I give it up?
TL/DR Can I get disability pay with a gap in my Starbucks employment?
