had someone ask for an americano (hot) upside down and ask if that was possible. i was like yeah ? but it’s not really gonna do anything, it’s all going to mix together regardless and taste the same. nonetheless, she wanted it made upside down. sure thing!

I actually had a customer like that who wanted the shots pulled on top of the hot water. She said that it changes the flavour of the coffee. Others in this sub and the sister Starbucks sub have said similar things.

I always get a venti black iced americano when i leave on days i get out before noon and i always put water to the 2nd line, shots, ice. Same for iced machiatos i pu the syrup, milk, ice, then shots thay way they wont die

Beyond the crazy order…what the heck was the development team thinking when they built the order that the stickers print? In training, we are repeatedly reminded about sequencing and processes and then we get this hodge podge. Put the items in order (hot): 1. drink type 2. Type of milk 3. Syrups 4. Shot type and number 5. Toppings

mm i don't really think that's the point of a union/a reasonable demand? just bc starbucks is big on 'have it ur way' like that's kinda their m.o. soo. idk bestie i'm all for unions but i think we also need to be aware and research what unions can and can't do before organizing.

obviously it's not the point of a union. i don't think it's an unreasonable ask, though. why shouldn't we be able to place a limit on drink modifications? something like the one pictured above is excessive and unnecessary. 99.99% of customers wouldn't even notice if we placed a 7 modification limit, i'm sure. they'd still be able to, in your words, 'have it their way'. and it would make baristas happier which is more important.

Ok, so I have a theory. I've been with Starbucks for a while now (154\*\*\*\*) and I've never seen people doing this kinda crap until recently. Yes, I understand Tiktok is a thing... but I really feel like there are a bunch of people who lost their sense of taste because of Covid and now order their drinks like fuckin' Edgar from Men in Black.

I don’t have sweet tooth, I like black coffee, BUT I gotten burned coffee…

So that’s why I stick to Americanos and is only so often that it’s not made properly, I usually check with them on the espresso shots that were added and they make it right for me, but every blue moon they get wrong and they get difficult about making it right.

I had someone come through the drive through as soon as we opened to order a 18 item customized drink and by the time I finished putting in all the syrup half the cup was full of goo before the espresso was even applied

I had not one but 2 people today with a single drink that had between 6-8 lines of mods. When we checked the DPM we had to tap “see more” for the rest to show. I can’t imagine the headache making this drink was for OP
