Solo Drive Sucks (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by nickwoodd
I’ve only been employed for 30 days and I had to solo drive the whole morning because we were short staffed yet again. And the other new girl had to solo the front counter with only 2 days of register experience 😂 My store does on average of $10,000 daily, 30% are mobile orders for an idea on volume. I’m exhausted to say the least and tomorrow will be even worse. Lol

I love solo drive 😅 I get in a great rhythm and have control of the whole counter and I don’t have to try and match up with different peoples DT styles

Welcome to Starbucks! One moment please… Thank you for your patience, what can I get stared for you today? ( I’m so sorry… Let me finish this window transaction and I’ll be right with you. ) Thank you Again, what else can I get for you? Awesome, your total will be $$$, see you at the window! I do this ALL DAY LONG. And unsure if it’s just my experience but my customers always have a question at the window or wish to add items… \*sigh\*. I FEEL YOUR PAIN.

Hopefully your supervisor and manager are good with you telling people to wait if you need to ignore them for a second to get caught up or that you’re understaffed and they’re going to be waiting however many minutes for their order.

I mean I get you it’s definitely exhausting either way but I’ve found if you’re upfront with customers and explain the situation they’re not gonna get mad so it’s just good customer service.
