“How dare you give me the drink I ordered” (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Distinct-Apartment39
Just had a guy get mad at me because he ordered 2 Venti hot coffees on the app, but wanted to order a dopio instead of one of the coffees. My guy. How was I supposed to know? And then he kept asking where the espresso was AS IT WAS PULLING when I was trying to hand out mobile orders. Next time I think I might just grab the cup and give them the 1/2 shot that had time to pull and be like “fine here ya go!!!”

Honestly. What annoyed me the most was the fact that I was like “alright whatever Ill get you the doppio” I started pulling the shots and asked 2 more people their names for mobile order pickup. And both times he went “my espresso” i almost turned to the asshole and screamed “YOU DIDNT PAY FOR ESPRESSO SO YOURE NOT FUCKING GETTING IT NOW” like my guy. Have you ever brewed a pot of coffee before? It’s not instant. Neither is espresso

It’s so bad I think I’d rather be broke than go back another day.

Take some time off, talk to your manager about it if they’re understanding, if not, call off a day, and then take some time off ASAP. You’re important and especially your mental health. Lots of places are also hiring right now, maybe the right thing is to take a permanent break, it’s up to you, but whatever you decide it’s justified. Don’t let this job make you miserable. Please please take time for yourself! You deserve it and you’re not alone!
