Email your store manager. Include all the past times with dates as you can remember when you’ve tried to transfer and the excuses you’ve been given. Say you have reviewed and understand the reasons given but that you need to transfer. Tell your sm that the email is to officially being the transfer paperwork. They will probably not write you back. They will probably wait until they see you in person to talk to you. If they still drag their feet and try not to transfer you, don’t say yes or no to anything. Wait until you leave for the day. Use the same email thread to respond to your manager. Bring up your conversation and the fact that you are not being given a practical reason why you cannot transfer. In this response, include your district manager. Make sure to include that you are including the district manager to help clarify the issues since there is something you just can’t seem to understand about why this isn’t working

real shit — contact your DM. that’s the only way i was able to get my transfer through. call the DM, and call the SM of the store you’re trying to transfer into, and make them BOTH aware of the situation.

I worked with a horrible store manager and when I transferred stores, she told my new manager that I should only be working or could only work for like 5 hours a week and he listened to her. For months I put in updated availability, I picked up extra shifts, even at other stores, but I wasn't ever scheduled at my store.
It somehow finally came out and I was so angry that he listened to her, ignored my asking for more hours, and that I'd had to cobble together hours at other locations. I called and reported her for the millionth time but I just heard that starbucks made her go to anger managment classes.
