Talk to your store manager about more training or if there’s a specific shift manager that you’re close with ask them too. I’m a shift at my store and I always ask my baristas what they want and need to work on.

How should i approach this? My store manager is busy managing 2 other stores right now too, so i can’t really talk to her. The two shifts i’m closest with are always like “I really need you on CS because you’re to only one that does it right” and the other one is like “I need you on window because you keep the times down” which I appreciate they see this. I just don’t know how to push I want to learn more ://

Do you work mornings? It’s a lot easier to be given bar practice on mid or evening shifts. Especially now during the holiday season they might be reluctant to let green beans bar time. It sucks since that’s the only way to get better.

Speak to your manager and SSVs about wanting to learn and when they’re not busy, so preferably a night shift where you have a lot of time to fool with things during breaks in cars, you can learn like that. And if you hear a drink you don’t know how to make, eye the person making it and watch carefully.
