Starbucks isn't for everyone. Many stores are great. Others are hella toxic. Do what's best for your mental health.

I second this. Mental health first. Try and look for another job if you can. From what you're describing, it won't get much easier.

I quit after one month, literally driving me to the very edge of life, customer service is a nightmare, never again

this is exactly how i feel, bullshitting extroversion is so difficult 😭

Don’t get me wrong, Starbucks has a great vibe to work maybe like for 3 hours, after that it becomes a nightmare, everything is above my pay rate 😂 also one of sm get on my nerve, she got super bossy. I’m like dude you’re not a CEO, you don’t make that much different than I do, she acts she owned the freaking dam store 😂

It does get easier…It just takes a lot of time to feel comfortable with everything. I’m sorry that you’ve been so anxious before your shifts. That’s how I was when I first started. If you do decide to tough it out, I promise it gets easier. But also don’t feel bad if you decide to quit either. It’s a lot of work to get to the point of feeling comfortable in each position, and your mental health matters more than all of that. Just take it one day at a time, you got this!

I can only speak from experience in that I once felt the same way as you, and I sometimes still do, but that eventually once I got to know my coworkers, and got more confident about the job that I feel so so much better and an even happy to come to work sometimes.
*That being said*, every store is different, and so is every partner. If you think it’s too much for you, there is absolutely no shame in walking away, you’re worth so much more than a job, and you should put your mental health first.
Do what’s best for you, I hope you’re feeling a little bit better after your shift today. ❤️

If a job is making you feel this way it just simply isn’t right for you and there’s no shame in that! You’ll find something else that suits you better no job is worth feeling sick to your stomach

I’ve had periods of feeling like this at Starbucks. I even had a period where I was literally throwing up at work from the stress. I quit a couple months later but then came back when I moved states. It’s still hard and stressful sometimes, but I absolutely love my new store and look forward to working with my coworkers. So it really depends but your health and sanity comes first. And school! School needs to come first too. It’s ok to quit because you aren’t enjoying it, you can very likely get rehired at another time if you want to give it another go. Take care of yourself!!
