two weeks is just the nice thing to do. you can count it however you want, your last day is whenever you say it is :)

You list your final working day in your 2 weeks notice. You get paid for your final two weeks as long as you are scheduled and work your shifts. It's possible your SM could accept your notice as immediate and not have you work your last 2 weeks (highly unlikely).

Does your manager write schedules in advance? When I put in my two weeks, my manager had already written the schedule for the next two weeks, so I stated when my last day working would be and worked all of my scheduled shifts until that day.

i did that and she literally scheduled me another week after the 2 weeks… i’ll be nice and work that week ig, and she knows i put in my 2 weeks .. so weird. well we are understaffed so i’ll work it but if she schedules me another week after that (that’ll be 4 damn weeks then) i’ll deff call her up ab that

You should not work past the time you put in your two week notice. Let her know that that week is beyond your two week notice. There’s a good chance she just put out the schedule anyway bc she had already made it and is already planning to find coverage for those shifts. But, still make sure you contact her and clarify.

I agree with the other comment, I wouldn't work past the date I stated in my two weeks! While I completely understand wanting to be helpful and nice, what goes on at your store is not going to be your problem anymore after your last day. If your manager didn't honor your two weeks and scheduled shifts for you, that's her problem that she needs to find coverage for and you are not obligated to work those shifts nor find coverage whatsoever. Tbh it's your manager that's creating problems for herself by scheduling shifts for you beyond your last day so you don't have to feel responsible at all!
