There should be a rate my manager subreddit or mega thread(self.starbucksbaristas)

Or whatever because I would love to see what anyone has to say about this literally walking pile of human feces. Also applicable to DM and above of course I think it will Ups be interesting to see feedback on all these individuals

I love my SM but she is a rare breed. She works only 20-30 hours a week in actual store. However she will jump on bar or any other station and help out as needed. She had before cleaned up the lobby, taken out the trash, did the bathroom etc . She schedule herself to work all holidays. Unlike many SM & DM she started as Barista and worked herself up

I asked my sm to hop on the floor when we had three call outs and she said no until an hour later she asked me how she could help so I asked her to go on cs and the first thing she does is wipe syrup bottles and make hot frap roast 🤪

A good one it sounds like

My manager is the same way. She hates the office work she rather be in the trenches getting dirty

Same here, don’t get me wrong I’ve had my share of the worst sm/dm that I could imagine. But count my lucky stars that we got this guy when we did

I loved my previous store managers but the one that I have now I’m convinced stole someone’s information and took her job because this lady has no idea what she’s doing and she’s been a partner for about two and a half years

Sounds like my previous SM. We would often either be short staffed or overstaffed, she would often ignore partners availability, at one point she hired 3 green been in one week but didn't bother to schedule them for training for 3 weeks

Tbh if there's a rate my professor site there should be a proper "rate my employer" that documents the manager at the time. There is a saying "people don't quit bad jobs, they quit bad managers" and I believe that.
Unfortunately even with sites like Glassdoor and Indeed allowing reviews on employers, corporations like to sue people for defamation and that whole SLAPP law thing... Big money lets you hire powerful legal teams and scary HR.

Licensed store here. The three managers in charge of Starbucks are nice people but none of them know how to do Starbucks which means we basically get no help when we’re slammed and short staffed. Once I went to the bathroom and got paged over the intercom not even 5 minutes later cause one of them panicked that customers were lining up and he doesn’t know how to do anything more than poor coffee. I just don’t understand how anyone can be in charge of a department and be completely ignorant of how to do it

Starbucks corporate higher ups in a nut shell 🤡🤡

Dude! My manager is so patient it's ridiculous. This isn't even her department but she's been a Starbucks barista/manager for 6 years. So she definitely knows her stuff!
Our kiosk is in a grocery store and her current full-time gig is in RPM (retail product management). She's the interim manager until they find a replacement.
I'm just surprised I'm still alive and breathing. Lol

My SM regularly talks shit about the minors and threatened me with firing because I had like one bad day and it's the end of the world to his ass, meanwhile I shoulder all the grunt work and tolerate the most toxic set of shifts possible. 2/10, he made us brisket like one time

My manager is a pain in the ass...

In the six months I’ve been at Starbucks, we have never had more than 2 schedules out. My SM frequently posts a schedule the night before. So Monday’s schedule comes out the Sunday before. We’ve only had 2 clean plays in my time here. She’s unprofessional. She talks shit about every partner in the store to other partners. She complains about call outs, hands out write ups for invalid reasons. We had a partner call out from the emergency room and she exposed their information, gossiped about their medical history, and violated HIPAA to bitch about them. She’s horrifying and I can’t wait until I can transfer or she quits, which she threatens to do every other week.

i cannot stand my sm bro. she is a 30 y/o woman who runs our store like it’s a high school. she literally talks shit about every single partner to OTHER PARTNERS. she’s 30…. talking shit about high schoolers and college students…way too old to be doing that shit. i wish i could bring it up to ur DM but he’s also a pos so
bazzyzazzy2 points1y ago
