WHY I (a barista) WILL NEVER EVER EVER BUY A HOUSE FROM CHINOWTH & COHEN EVER (purely out of spite) (self.starbucksbaristas)

the store i currently work at used to have the most amazing view of the sunrise through the drive through. i used to open the window between customers just to watch the sunrise before we got busy. it was my favorite part of the day. for almost two years i enjoyed my perfect sunrises. then all of the sudden chinowth & effing cohen decided to put up a new office building (literally less that 15ft away from our building) and block my perfect sunrise, permanently. construction finished about 3 or 4 months ago and the office was officially in use at the end of september.
within the first month of the office being used, the prissy lexus driving real estate agents (who have windows facing our drive way and use them to advertise themselves, dare i say: TACKY) complained about our recycling bin “blocking their parking lot” which shares an entrance with my starbucks. spoiler alert: it was definitely not blocking anything. but they called and complained enough that my store manager had our recycling bin hauled off, as well as our normal sized garbage bin. they replaced our normal sized bin with this MONSTROUS 7ft tall dumpster with diagonal, upward facing lids. the problem with this is that I AM ONLY 5 FEET TALL. the average height of all of my coworkers is literally 5’6 (yes we calculated) . none of my coworkers are able to open the dumpster normally. instead we have to either use an old mop stick (which doesn’t work if you’re not 5’10 at least) or literally scale the side of the dumpster, sit on top of the 6 ft brick wall surrounding the dumpster, and pry it open with both hands. all because effing real estate beotches don’t have enough room to drive three cars through the entrance at the exact same time and think it’s an issue.
i wish i could’ve attached a visual of me trying to take out the trash today. i struggled to even get the lid open for thirty minutes.
anyways that is why i will never be buying a house from chinowth & cohen out of spite
