Last week my shift was on break and the money order came and I ( a barista ) signed the order. Can I get in trouble? Idk

Your store just signs for it & leaves it out? Never ever happens at any store I've worked at.

It needs to be handled by a shift. It’s unfortunate to interrupt their 10, but I would much rather my 10 be interrupted than to put both of our jobs at risk if something happened.
Besides when the change order comes, they always take whatever deposits we have with them at least at my store. So you need a shift to open the safe.

I feel like…as long as you didn’t go in the safe yourself or touch the money you’re in the clear? Your shift might get a talking to.
