We had a 130 half hour 🥰 and were out of red cups by 11 am

Enough that we were behind 55 minutes.. in a cafe 🥲 we’re the busiest cafe in the region, so it was utter hell. We had 1 partner warming, 1 partner food runner, 1 handoff, 2 at the registers, 1 frap station, 1 teas/refresher, 2 bar, and 1 support. It was chaos.

My store is transitioning to a new manager (an outside hire lol) so we were scheduled very poorly. 3 partner play until 10am. I solo barred until 10:15 when someone came in. We had to have mobiles turned off & the line was literally out the door almost all morning. My store has seen better days.

I haven’t gone in yet but we had a 130 half hour about 3 weeks ago so I can only imagine how crap today will be. I didn’t even think it was possible to do that much in a half hour.

I didn’t work red cup day this year, but my fellow partners told me how bad it was. The line was wrapped around the building and people were waiting before we even opened. However, the Starbucks down the street from us had pretty much no one in line until around 9/9:30 a.m.

We were behind a whole hour in just cafe and mobile orders.
