Called in early on red cup day (self.starbucksbaristas)

Yesterday was genuinely insane I have yet to recover💀 I got called in at 6:30 instead of my scheduled time at 9:45, no big deal I need the extra cash for x-mas anyway.

I got there and couldn’t even find a parking spot for myself, once I did I went inside only to see at least 30-40 people in the lobby. Got checked in and was put on DTR for about an hour, but we were so busy that we were actually losing people’s mobile orders and I had one dude waiting at the window for nearly 10 minutes.

We were 30 minutes behind on mobiles and had around 100 orders waiting on the pad and half the people never arrived.

One of our baristas actually straight up left once her scheduled time was over which is fair but she told no one. After she left I was put on drive bar with a line of cars wrapped around our building 😭

I wasn’t even able to snag a cup for my mom (i got her a color changing one though!)

Is red cup day ALWAYS like this?? This was my first year and I didn’t expect people to be this wild over a red cup
