i work at a licensed starbucks inside a mall and it’s SO bad. our store manager has never worked a day in their life and never orders product properly so we’re always out of everything! i had to call off one day for a family emergency and my manager proceeded to take away the rest of my shifts. I haven’t worked for 2 weeks now and he has yet to publish the schedule for next week. (there was a time last month where he didn’t publish our weeks schedule until 8:30 sunday night). when i asked his supervisor for our employee handbook and who i contact for HR she sent me a 3 page “handbook” and that any concerns need to be addressed to her. but she never keeps anything confidential. i’ve been telling our store manager we need to do a clean play once a week and he just ignores me, i’ve been at this location since it opened in September and not once has our ice machine been cleaned out. we’re violating SO many health codes and because im at a licensed location i can’t just transfer to another starbucks because all the other ones around me are actually corporate. I just feel so lost on what i should do, i’ve been applying to other locations and other jobs because it doesn’t seem like my store manager is going to schedule me but they also won’t fire me?? who do i report all of this too?

Don’t listen to your store manager’s supervisor, contact their boss or hr. The supervisor told you not to report to hr just cause she doesn’t want to get in trouble from her boss but reporting to hr is the correct next step
