real conversation i had with a customer right as we were gonna close tonight -
“hi so i saw this thing on tiktok that said you guys are giving out free refills on drinks i ordered earlier? if you do that i’ll give you a tip!”
me, staring at my shift and other coworkers :“unfortunately we arent doing that, im so sorry”
“so youre telling me someone just made that up?”
me : “i guess so maam, again im sorry”
“you should give me one anyway because i feel stupid!”
me, trying hard not to laugh as my shift stares at the screen : “unfortunately i cannot give you a free drink, im sorry.”
“and unfortunately i cant give you a tip!” she flipped us off at the window too

Pretty sure you can get refills for cold brew, iced coffee , brewed coffee and iced tea! But you have to be in the Cafe you can't just leave property and come back and get a refill though.

Yes, but only as the base, and only if they bought the previous drink with a registered Starbucks card.
Anyone who buys a regular drip coffee can get a second one for free.
But if someone orders (for example) a salted cream cold foam cold brew, they can get a refill of just cold brew (with any milk, cream, sweetener).
If they bought a peach green tea lemonade, they're eligible to get a free iced green tea (no lemonade, just sweetener).
There are buttons for hot coffee refills, iced coffee refills, and iced tea refills.

It also doesn’t matter what the first drink is you could order a frap and get a refill of tea or coffee.

That’s what I figured… I work at a campus sb and I’ve never been told about this policy because nobody asks for it. Someone asked me last week and I told them I was certain iced coffee and hot regular coffee. We don’t have those refill buttons on the pos unless I’m completely blind. But we also don’t have a pup cup button and didn’t have the “Latay”

Licensed stores are different cus the franchisee can decide what they want to offer (or update in their POS) :/

But we do do refills, to an extent. My manager especially because of covid was allowing refills in the drive through and wasn't checking anyrhing
