it will forever baffle me how they order the drink and then ask “is this mine?” or grab the wrong drink. do you not know what you JUST got?

You would be surprised how many people genuinely do forget in the span of less than 5 minutes. We have an older woman at my store who always comes in and starts nagging the bar about her drink, and when we ask what she had she’ll yell at us. It doesn’t help she won’t give us her name and orders something different every time lol

“is this my drink? iordered this iced?”
“is your name Mike?”
“no”
“then why would you think this is your drink”

“Is this mine?” Holding a cold brew
“What did you order?”
“A pink drink.”
“….is that pink?”
“No?”
“Then it’s not yours”
Fucking people are so stupid lol.

OMG! So not to make light of a truly frustrating situation , but I totally misread this. I was totally thinking the actual mop😂 lol it’s been a long day

Glad I wasn’t the only one who did this 😂

The other day I had a woman pick up everything single drink on the MOP handoff looking for hers. Literally picked up 10+ hot drinks before finding hers, a cold brew. I wanted to die on the inside.

I’ve also had UberEats drivers just take MOP orders. Not the same name, not packaged up, nothing. Just take them and then come back complaining it wasn’t right.

Or they put their grubby hands all over it "is this mine? Is this mine? I didn't want whip" fucking no it's not yours, do you really not know your name or which $6 drink you just ordered? Absolutely infuriating 😅

“Hi, I’m SALLY. I have a venti caramel crunch frap, decaf, with apple drizzle, extra crumble, double blended. Is this mine?” *grabs tall, hot, Americano with the name MICHAEL on it*
ahbeeceeess 9 points 1y ago
Once I handed off a matcha frap and someone asked if it was hers (she ordered an iced latte).

Another time I handed off a mocha cookie crumble frap and the girl that ordered it grabbed it, put down a 1/3 drank BSOSE, and said “oh thanks, sorry I thought this one was mine so I started drinking it”.

once someone took a sip of one of the mobile drinks then put it BACK ON THE COUNTER after realizing it wasnt theirs. we were all too busy to notice but luckily a customer who was just as bewildered told us and we remade it before they got there

This is why I aggressively stop people trying to grab mobile orders from under our barrier (sneeze guard stuff) and say "oh are you picking up?" "What's the name of your mobile order?" "Is that yours?"

It upsets me the most when I'm standing there and can literally help them if they ask but they just go and grab stuff. My partners and I literally have to tell customers everyday "hey please tell us the name of your order and let us pass it to you, we deal with a lot of people grabbing other people's drinks"

my district lets us put ours out for customers to grab now ):

Hopefully they can read

You need to treat peole like they're idiots. Because a lot of them are. Even though we're putting the drink in the MOBILE ORDER PICKUP area, we always yell "MOBILE ORDER FOR ______". You'll likely still get the occasional moron who ordered in the cafe and asks if that's their drink, even if it's not their name. But that should help reduce them, at least.

The other day we had 5 mobile orders at open and one came in, picked up 3 food items that weren’t hers and said “I ordered egg bites these are bacon Goudas” so I assumed that we got the stickers mixed up and told her that they’d be right out. 3 seconds later she says “these also say Jeffrey….. but my name is Brooke?”…………………….. you can imagine how the rest of the conversation went

it’s always a hassle keeping track of drinks and customers. they don’t bother listening or paying attention. so I have to stand there and yell “That’s Not Yours” when the last person who ordered tries to take the first drink that was called out.
