I’m still a green bean, I’ve been working at sbux for about a month, but have had a few other similar gigs. Today was a typical Saturday of course, huge DT line and pretty chaotic. But the mobile orders, my god the mobile orders. I was on warming and the tickets just wouldn’t stop and pretty soon I was utterly swamped and starting to panic. I told my shift that I just needed to take my lunch so that I could cool off and she was very understanding. I went on support when I came back just to do trash and prep, but honestly not my favorite position. The mobiles did not cease though, as their was about 40 people standing in the cafe just deadpan staring at us. I am a full time bean that usually opens through the week, and I was not working with the crew I am used to. I came to realize that the part time and weekend partners are very catty and are high school levels of dramatic and rude. The icing on the cake was a SSV in training came to the office and was talking major shit about other partners. All in all, a complete fucking nightmare.
