No, but there’s a ton of degenerate managers in this company, it’s almost a prerequisite.

Is the book not available to write in your clock in/out times? That’s never happened at either stores I’ve worked at, if we forget to clock in we just write it in the punch log communications section.

So odd, we all forget sometimes including our shifts. We just write it in the book nobody has made a big deal out of it.

When something like a write up is threatened to everyone, it’s because it’s a large issue that needs corrected asap. I.e. my manager when she first started at my store, saw no one shaking drinks and said to everyone that that’s an immediate write up from then on

Shaking drinks?
aaronbdancer 3 points 1y ago
Teas and refreshers. Shaken espressos weren’t a thing yet

I don’t think you can get an actual write up for it especially if your reason put is “system unavailable” but if your reason in “forgot” expect a talk from your manager bc constantly writing in your hours can be a sign of time fraud. Aka you were 15 mins late but you wrote in that you were in on time. You shouldn’t get paid for those 15 mins, it’s not fair to your co workers who were on time and actually worked their hours in full.

no we just write it in the book and then our manager usually checks the book pages on mondays. usually we'll have like 10-15 written names on the page by the end of the week
