How do I begin the process of transferring stores? Do transfers usually get approved? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by pervasivebarrier
I'm not going to get into it, but I'm a shift supervisor who is not really enjoying the vibes at my current store. There's a store that's geographically closer to me, like close enough to ride my bike to, and I'm feeling like it might be better for my sanity (and bank account) if I transferred there. Does anybody know how I might go about this, and what are the reasons they usually reject a transfer?

I transferred stores and you just have to talk to the store you want to transfer to, get that manager’s and that district manager’s name (if it’s a different district) store number, etc and then bring that information to your current manager and have them fill out the paperwork. the district managers will talk and the transfer should go through. the only thing is making sure you have a good relationship with your manager will make things go smoother. sometimes like if your current store is low staffed they will not approve the transfer. but other than that as long as you’ve been there at least four months you should be fine.

To add onto this, after getting the store number and name of SM/DM I would print and fill out the transfer request form to just hand to your SM instead of giving them the information. You can find it on the partner hub. Just keep in mind they can hold you up to 60 days. Which might happen bc we are in holiday.

literally in the same boat as you dude.
but like nonbinaryqueerfuck said, try to establish a good connection with the SM at the store you’re trying to transfer too. and also if your reasoning is that the store you want to transfer to is closer, i feel like you more than likely will be accepted for that request. hope all works in your favor! ^_^
