Is anyone else experiencing their hours cut? Been with sbux for 6 months, initially hired full time. Have had no write ups, and I’m good at all aspects of my job. (Barista) I spoke with some coworkers and they have said they have also had their hours cut. Currently we have 40+ people at my store and my boss keeps hiring more. Unsure of what to do. I know I need to speak to them but I’m anxious!!

Usually during December to march they cut our hours since business will be slow and we won’t get as many customers as before. It’s always like this during these months.

Labor metrics usually do the exact opposite for December across the board because of the holidays but after that you’re right. For us in my district at least, we stay busy for the coldest parts of the year and then the hottest parts of the year. Everything in between in slightly less busy and slightly less staffed
