ive been told on average 3-6 months, some r faster some r slower, we had a new person recently get super comfortable in about a month and my ssv mentioned someone they used to work with that took a year to get comfy on bar. you’ll get the ordering screens down much sooner than the recipes, i’m 5 months in and pretty good at almost everything but even i forget a recipe every once in a while.

Took me like 6 months, started in sept and when we had about.... 10 less non-standard drinks back then. Training/starting during holiday season is tough!
I took to the ordering screen like a fish to water, but maybe cuz we had to write on cups so it maybe made understanding the diff tabs a lot easier (bottom row is drinks tab; right column is your customizations! Buttons on customs tab changed recently/as of a few weeks ago so everyone's having to relearn placements right now )
Edit: i'm also an ancient barista and a trainer, my quickest-to-learn-drinks trainees have studied them thru the sbux app! You can also ask your trainer for a "cheat sheet" which is just column/rows of what pumps/syrups into which drinks, exceptions to the rules for hot bar (unfortunately, a lot), etc. Helps as a study guide since the company doesn't let you take anything home :/

order screen took me 3 months. got put on bar because i kept asking. created a whole list of patterns of all drink recipes and which drinks were different depending on the category. like shots, syrup pumps, tea bags, syrup in teas, or any other random thing. got really comfortable and got fast within 3 months. now i'm at 10 months and the only thing that's changed is that i'm able to keep my entire area clean during a rush, and i'm able to repeatedly put milks back into fridges right after i use them (which is what you're supposed to do but whatevs i'm the only person at my store who does it)
