Why do people come to Starbucks then complain they don’t have enough time to wait for their order? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I get when you come in with a 15 min allowance and 30 has passed by (our mobile orders are intense af all day so being behind is typical even with 2 bar partners) but some people get upset waiting less than 5 minutes bc they will be late to work. So much poor planning.

Ours is next to a train station. People will see a queue out the door and get pissed when their drink isn't out within 30 seconds of ordering

Our customers’ time is too precious. You can’t correct them if their order sounds crazy, or if they make a mistake ordering, because you are always wrong no matter what. You can’t make them wait too long either because if they aren’t completely spoiled/satisfied for paying $7-$9 for one drink your Manager is going to make sure they get their payment reimbursed or a recovery card. So it’s a win/win for insane customers. Starbucks enables undesirable customers and awards them by this vicious cycle. Thanks Starbucks!

the fucking recovery cards and the way managers give them out to everyone that makes a scene, thereby enabling that very same behavior… makes me so mad smfh

had a lady come in yesterday and get both her drinks in less than three minutes (i was on bar), but she had to wait on food for like… just a couple extra minutes? except the whole time she was complaining and saying she wanted to cancel the order because she was “going to be late.”

our entire lobby was full of customers and the building is covered in windows. i don’t get it, man.
