i don’t think about it all the time but it does come to my mind when customers get remakes and they have to throw drinks away, or when customers just don’t take what they buy through mobiles or because they don’t have a straw to drink it through (yea, multiple fraps were thrown today cause we didn’t have a straw that the lady could drink from)

I hate hate HATE the pastry case for this reason. On the subject of waste that’s why I am almost militant about FIFOing the milks. One time I had to throw out 14 nonfats and four half and halves. I am also pretty strict with the date dots too as some of the am shifts haven’t told their staff when things go out. (I once found many whip creams dated for three days.) I try communicating with other times of day because being closers, we were dumping tons of iced coffee at the end of the night, to the point where we eventually completely ran out because too many were being made. I’m not trying to be a jerk about things it is just is exhausting to see all of this waste.

I’ve started to make sure my coworkers always recycle, the most we can recycle anyways. And any one of them who won’t recycle I annoy them to a point so that they will anyways.

😲This post makes me think of a terrible pet peeve of mine, while at work. Seeing my fellow partners carelessly stand right next to a trash receptacle full of trash and not care to change the trash bag. Like come on. Change that trash before you go on break, before you go on lunch, If your doing a task that doesn’t require clean hands at the moment and before you clock in or out. Please don’t add to the trash or just push your trash to make it roomier. Seeing all of our trash receptacles full all day long really gets to me… I dislike it so much, I may need to seek therapy over this nonsense. 😐
