*disabled partner issues* & update posted about being fired for being autistic (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by newyorkcity1976
Hi everyone. First of all I am doing okay and everyone's been super kind and supporitve of me, and I greatly appreciate it! Like I said I literally was fired for my autism. I planned to go to the press and such and ready to freak Starbucks out by my loved ones are right, absolutely talk to an attorney first.
That being said, YES I am looking for an attorney for what to do next! And The EEOC even drafted a charge for me to file when I'm ready. I was like woah, but if this case is as solid as I think it is I will absolutely proceed not just for me but for everyone whos rights are getting violated but more importantly their humanity.
My therapist and actually attorney friend pointed out something though. I've aleady talked to/seen a lot of folks who seem to have been pushed out from bucks for their disabilities. Is this seriously a trend? I made

to maybe start getting all of our stories together and see where it takes us. Never been a mod before, we could figure the subreddit out and could close it if needed. Hell I'll even make a website (cs major haha).
Is this something people would want to jump in on? I honestly think it's a disturbing trent, and Starbies truly thinks they can get away with anything. Feel free to totally dm me too if that's better.
Also I started but will make sure to reply to everyones comments of support. It means a lot.
Happy Thanksgiving, and I'm thankful for you all and all the overflowing sized rants here.
